The Purgistics team was recently contracted for the sale and installation of approximately 45 offices in three refurbished buildings. Their scope also included the relocation of existing furnishings and all personnel. The challenge was the scheduling due to each building being completed successively over a three week period. Additionally, the project required furniture to be delivered and installed within a day of the personnel relocations to allow for communications to be installed concurrently with the moves. The schedule was aggressive and, based upon the client expectations and preparations, unable to be adjusted. Everything was prepared as planned, the Purgistics team had installed all new furniture and they were scheduled to arrive to complete the relocation effort.
Unfortunately the weather was not cooperating and the day of the move the region experienced record rainfall. In spite of the conditions, The Purgistics team performed exemplary. They maintained a positive attitude, were prepared with wet weather gear and wipe rags, and ensured the client was relocated to their new offices with minimal issues due to the weather.
